In ten years, the Global Struggle Against Extremism (nee War on Terror) would have won ... sort of. You see, the terrorists have been driven from their homes at the moment and has shacked with drug dealers in South America. With their support the terrorists are preparing to launch new attacks against the United States. Your job, as a pilot in the United States Air Force, is to take the fight to the terrorists and keep them from striking against the U.S.. That is the reason behind the latest jet fighter plane game, jet fighter 2015.

Jetfighter previous two games are a little schizophrenic. With one foot firmly in camp realistic sim and another in the camp arcade light, it is difficult to know how to approach the game. Arcade fans found the game too complicated while die-hard stick and rudder types find the game too forgiving.

This time, the developers unapologetically-style arcade stick is more affected. Jetfighter 2015 feels more like a first-person shooter from the flight sim. Hell, even the game does not offer joystick support. Thankfully, the mouse and keyboard controls are very intuitive. As Freelancer nose of the aircraft will track the mouse to control your aiming reticle save you from having to repeatedly scroll your mouse in the direction you want to go (see: Battlefield 1942).

Flight characteristics and aircraft systems are also much simpler this time. No more red out, there is no fuel level, no flare, no stalls, no taking off or landing, and no one-shot kills. You'll find three flyable aircraft in the fighter jet in 2015 but apart from a different number carrying a bomb and have different peak speeds, there's really very little to separate the aircraft in terms of performance.

The third installment of the aircraft in the fighter jets of all fictional and can fly in a jet or hover mode. Switching between the two allows the player to adapt to the tactical situation in front of them. Jet mode is useful when you need to get somewhere in a big hurry, or when you try to avoid the enemy's agility. Switch to hover mode provides a platform, steady shooting much more accurate but also leave you open to enemy attack.

15-mission campaign offers a good variety. Sure, the basic premise is to shoot away from just about everything you see, but there are many good meetings, from crushing to the drug lab to take a giant submarine to extinguish the fire crane. Although great to have fun all to yourself, it would be nice to actually have some help on some missions. You would think that the drug-dealing terrorist threat right on our doorstep will encourage the U.S. to send more than one Air Force pilot, but you'd be wrong.

We criticize jetfighter V because it is not hard enough. In the future, we must remember to keep their opinions to ourselves. The developers have made the 2015 fighter jet is much more difficult this time, more in line with our experience with jetfighter 4. I still have keyboard marks on my forehead from that one. Level is almost always filled with some threats - from helicopters to fighters for rocket emplacements remain for mobile AA truck. To help ease the burden of repeated failures, appearance and location of every enemy the same way each time you play a mission. It kills the replay value a bit but it certainly helps you to gain weight through the mission.
